Universal Studios Florida opened in 1990 with the intention of being the theme park that lets visitors “ride the movies.” Hollywood, New York and the Woody Woodpecker’s Kidzone are three of the six theme areas found here. Another theme park was added to the resort in 1999, and called Islands of Adventure. Visitors can make their way through the various islands like the Marvel Super Hero Island, the Jurassic Park and the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
